Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

God said that He created the heaven (the universe) and earth in 6 days.

Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is ...

These days were literal 24 hours days, consisting of both a morning and an evening.

Genesis 1:5 ... And the evening and the morning were the first day.

Genesis 1:8 ... And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Genesis 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Genesis 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God called the light portion of these days, "Day" and the dark portion He called “Night”.

Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night ...

God promised that these same days and nights would continue as long as the earth remained.

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Jesus said, relatively speaking, that the light portion of a day was twelve hours long.

John 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

This would make the night, or dark portion of a day to be 12 hours long as well. Again, a 24 hour day. The Bible knows nothing of days which lasted millions of years which the Theistic evolutionist have propose in order to try to reconcile the Bible with evolution.

[We know that this ratio of light to darkness in a day often changes based upon the time of year and where one lives upon the earth. At the equator both the light and dark portions of a day are pretty much the same length but, as one goes north or south from the equator the light portion becomes longer in the summer and shorter in the winter. This is because the earth is round. [Oh, if Flat-Earthers would only get this!]

God also warned us in scripture that there would be teachings which would oppose the truth which the Bible teaches regarding these things which would be falsely called "science".

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

All true science agrees with what God says in the Bible. After all, God created science. If it were not for God and His act of creation, there would be no such thing as science, for nothing would exist to be studied. Many of the first scientists were believers who sought to study God’s creation in order to learn the various natural laws that He had put in place in order to glorify God. Much has changed since then, but thank God for the many Creation Scientists that God has raised up in our day to refute such errors.

Following the admonition of 1 Timothy 6:20 above, I urge my fellow believers to hold fast, and keep these Biblical truths which are committed to thy trust against all profane and vain babblings of men, and that which is falsely called science like evolution.
